Champions League Final 2012 Bayern Munich vs Chelsea

Road To Champions League Final 2012 Bayern Munich vs Chelsea. The UEFA Champions League Final between Bayern Munich and Chelsea has the unenviable task of following last week's brilliant English Premier League season finale. But even if the dramatics don't match Manchester City's rousing win, the German fans will have plenty to celebrate.
Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes is trying to downplay everything that his squad has going for it heading into this matchup:
In the Champions League final there is no favourite team. Certainly not against Chelsea, because in Chelsea you have players with many international caps, players with experience who have won everything—and it is also their dream to win this cup...Very possibly we might have a tiny little advantage because we're playing at home in our own stadium.
Therein lies that reason for optimism in Bayern, just hours away from its quest for a fifth Champions League Title: home field.

In seven previous home matches during Champions League, Bayern has compiled a perfect 7-0 record and outscored its opponents 21-4.
Chelsea, meanwhile, has had a lot of problems trying to win on the road. The Blues have played six matches away from the friendly confines of Stamford Bridge Stadium. They are just 1-2-3 in those contests, with the lone victory coming against Benfica on March 27.
The Blues have had all sorts of problems putting the ball in the net this Champions League season, a trait that will not help them against the high-powered Bayern offense.
Anyone who tries to convince you that the partisan crowd in Bayern is not going to make a difference in this match is fooling you. The Reds have all the momentum in the world coming into this game, and they will use it, along with the nearly 70,000 fans in Allianz Arena, to capture their first Champions League title since 2001.
